Our products are specifically formulated for warm, medium to dark skin tones — brunette skin. That said, anyone can benefit from our science-backed formulations. Our Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 is particularly designed to leave no white cast on darker complexions.
We are founded by a cosmetic scientist with 15+ years of expertise, focused exclusively on brunette skin concerns. Every formula is clinically tested, free from carcinogenic ingredients, and designed to address the unique needs of warm and dark skin tones — hyperpigmentation, uneven tone, and sensitivity to certain active ingredients.

Most of our products are fragrance-free or use only naturally-derived botanical scents at low concentrations. All fragrance information is listed on each product page and ingredient list. We never use synthetic fragrances that can irritate sensitive darker skin tones.
Absolutely — our products are formulated to work synergistically. Our DUO Seasonal bundles are specially curated by our scientist to maximize efficacy when used together. Always apply in order: cleanser → toner → serum → moisturizer → SPF (morning).
Skin Science
Natural skin tone provides only SPF 10–13, which is far below the SPF 30 minimum recommended by dermatologists. Darker skin is still vulnerable to UV damage, hyperpigmentation, and skin cancer. Our Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 provides broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection without the white cast common in most sunscreens.
Brunette skin produces more melanin, which makes it more reactive to triggers like UV exposure, acne, hormonal changes, and inflammation. This leads to dark spots, melasma, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Our Dark Spot Bundle is clinically tested to target these concerns safely.
Harsh exfoliants (high-concentration AHAs/BHAs), certain retinoids at high doses, and some chemical UV filters can cause irritation and worsen hyperpigmentation on darker skin. We formulate without these problematic ingredients and clearly disclose our full ingredient lists.

Yes, we ship to the US, Europe, and select international destinations. International shipping costs and times vary by location. All rates are calculated at checkout.
Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. You can also check your order status by logging into your account on our website.
Returns & Refunds
We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you're not completely happy with your purchase, contact us at info@brunetteandco.com within 30 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange. Products must be at least 50% full to be eligible for return.
We're sorry to hear that! Please contact us immediately at info@brunetteandco.com with photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or full refund within 2 business days.
Ingredients
Yes. All Brunette & Co products are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. We never test on animals and do not use any animal-derived ingredients. Our formulas are also free from carcinogenic compounds — this is a core founding commitment.
